At the recent POC "Make a Wish" event at Laguna Seca, USARM was able to donate $1200.00 to the Make a Wish" Foundation. This was monies brought in by raffle ticket sales at the annual USARM banquet last February. USARM Directors Dave Jansen, Shelley Ulry, Kati James & Jim Hileman proudly present the check to the POC representative.

The most recent POC event at Buttonwillow brought lots of exciting racing and a few surprises! The first USARM-POC "Worker of the Weekend" was presented to Rusty Williams. The recipient of this award was decided solely by the drivers of POC and will continue to be awarded at upcoming POC events to the USARM Course Marshal who, according to the drivers input, best represents the quality and professionalism of the USARM Course Marshals. CONGRATULATIONS, Rusty!!

The Annual USRM Banquet that has been held in February for the last couple of years is searching for a dynamic volunteer to head the Banquet Committee.

If no one steps up for this (it is almost already done, thanks to Steve Johnson & all his hard work for the last few years), there will be NO USARM Banquet in 2006.

If you are interested please contact one of the USARM Directors as soon as possible.

This is the "wait list" for the Skip Barber event: Edna Lewis Bruce Brunner ** There are 3 people who can't make the Friday part of this event. If you are interested in doing ONLY the Friday, please let Kati know as soon as possible.

Camping will be available for those USARM members camping at the Laguna Seca events. This is complimentary and can be reserved by contacting the point of contact for the event. Usually this is located in the Monterey County Parks areas of Laguna Seca.

The current Grid editor will be looking for a replacement beginning in Jan. 2007. If you are interested in making sure the USARM membership is kept informed, lease contact Kati James, 831-633-8664

The Grid is an essential part of the USARM information network and it would be missed by the membership if it were to stop being published.

It will be up to the general membership to carry on this tradition of having a monthly newsletter, including USARM schedules, current BoD minutes, financial reports and other information that provides USARM and it's members with all the most current information.

It has been my pleasure, for the past 3 years, to be the Grid editor, but time constraints have become such that it not feasible for me to continue.

Thanks to all who have helped with the Grid and to those who have contributed.

New event schedules will be published in the Grid as soon as they are available and you will see it there first! If you need replacement or additional membership forms, please contact one of your Board of Directors. Please remember that even if you fill out an 'online' membership form, your USARM membership WILL NOT be active until dues are received.
