WSBK 2004

WSBK is now history for another year. It was a GREAT weekend for all of us. There are, of course, several things that happen that are unavoidable, unfortunate and not as well thought out as we wanted them to be; but overall, we truly pleased the event organizers and that is the MAIN objective.

Some Thoughts From USARM Members:

"… A nice weekend with lots of good racing!! It was difficult working with two different comm. Lines for the Turn marshalls. I like to monitor the landline to keep up with race action but we were also expected to monitor the flagging channel. Maybe we could simplify it somehow because
it was pretty confusing some of the time, any ideas??"

"...To ALL corner People from flagging to Handlers, Thanks for making the AMA / FIM weekend a Team effort! When we got there the Bikes were ready, that makes our job a lot FASTER and a lot easier. Especially when we didn't have to look for Them......

Turn 3 who ever you were always pointed to the bikes and Had ready. Turn 4, thanks for the point bye's and the rest of you did a great job! And one more thanks goes to Bo & Matt and the crew from Laguna Seca you guys were there from oil on the track to Air in the tires,

Thanks a Bunch

DW 1 Dave, Mick and the crew
Thanks again! See you next year I hope"

HOW DO I?

And this message from Dave Scott,
our new British friend:

"...I have finally arrived home, had such a fantastic vacation, made all the better by yourself and all at USARM and the wonderful people I met at Laguna.

I have just enough time to unpack my cases and then repack to go to MOTO GP at Donnington Park.
Once again I thank you so much for all your help and the fantastic way you made me feel at home, I just have one thing to ask of you, as soon as you find out whether it is going to be Moto GP or WSBK at Laguna next year, can you let me know the dates as soon as possible, already trying to plan next years trip!!!
Thank You
Dave"

"Here is the picture of the F-18 pilot's that were given a ride on the Drag-on-Wagon on Sunday, July 11th. Two of them thought it was just ok, one thought it was better than flying, and one didn't seem to find it amusing at all. Pretty cool when you can scare an F-18 pilot!"

Post it on the forums and it can be discussed by all so that the board knows what we, the members want. The only way for the board to more effective is to know how the members feel about issues.

So, head over to the forums, sign up and post your comments and suggestions or just jump into some of the other categories and post your opinions about the various racing series. If there's not a category for what you'd like to talk about, just make sure you're logged into the forums and start it. See ya there,

Liz Browning had always wanted a Saab 97 Coupe, but had never located a satisfactory one at a reasonable price. Her search even took her to Europe. At last, one day in Lisbon , she saw the car of her dreams. The terms of sale were right, except the owner had a second model 97, and insisted on selling both or neither. Liz decided to take the pair, and now, of course, she refers to them as her

A Chinese Fable

A water bearer in China had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which he carried across his neck.

One pot had a crack in it, while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the long walk from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.

For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water to his house.

Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, perfect for which it was made. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do.

After 2 years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream...

"I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house."

The bearer said to the pot, "Did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side?

That's because I have always known about your flaw, and I planted flower seeds on your side of the path.. Every day while we walk back, you've watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house."

Moral:
Each of us has our own unique flaws. We're all cracked pots. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You've just got to take each person for what they are, and look for the good in them.
For that reason I say......

Blessings to all my crackpot friends.
