The 2008 MotoGP World Championship, at Laguna Seca, is scheduled for July 18-20th, 2008.
MOTO-GP time is here once again. To sign up for the Moto-GP race you
must be a current (2008) USARM member. So, if needed, fill out and return
BOTH forms - the membership form and the Moto-GP application.
A current membership application must be on file and membership dues must be paid up to date.
Please be sure to read both forms completely as there is important information included on the forms. Please remember that you can send both the MotoGP application and the USARM membership application to Ted at the address listed on the last page of the MotoGP application, do not send them to the Post Office box for USARM.
If you are new to working with USARM at the MotoGP, please take a look at the
New Worker Info. This gives you an idea of what is required.
We also received a training video from the MotoGP folks and it's been converted so that you can view it. It's approximately 18 minutes long and is approximately 200 meg so those on dial-up should probably not try and view/download it. Those with a broadband connection should not have a problem. You can
view the video here.
Note: Submitting a membership form only does NOT automatically enroll you on the roster for the Moto-GP. If you wish to work the Moto-GP you MUST submit both forms and your membership dues, there are no exceptions.
If you have already sent in your application(s), please check the
list below below to confirm that your application has been received.
If accepted to work the race. You agree to fulfill your commitment to work the position assigned to you for the entire weekend. Failure to show up at your assigned position or leaving your post during the event without permission will result in your credentials being pulled and you will be asked to leave the track.
If you do not have Microsoft Office to open the DOC file you can
download Open Office which is open-source software which will allow you to open and print the DOC files. You will need Adobe Acrobat to be able to print the PDF files. You can
download Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Please check the
list below below to confirm that your application has been received. This
ONLY confirms that your application has been received, it
DOES NOT mean that you have been confirmed to work the event. Please make sure that you hve submitted your USARM
membership apllication, if needed. If there is a No next to your name, it means that USARM has yet to receive your membership application yet.
Last year's event was amazing! The racing was incredible, the weather was perfect but the best part was getting to meet so many wonderful people from all over the world. The event was successful because of people like you who came out to not only work hard but play hard at this event.
We will be adding lots of information to this website soon about the flagging, communications and all the specialties we work for the event. We will also add information about the rules and regulations that we must adhere to for this event so you have a better understanding of everything that goes on in the background and how it affects what we do. The general format and schedule of the event won't be much different than last year.
Please remember that this list only shows which members have submitted their MotoGP applications, it
DOES NOT mean that the applicant has been confirmed to work the event.
If you have any questions about working the event please send them to the
MotoGP Committee. Please also realize that it may take a bit of time for your application to be received and processed and for your name to be sent to the USARM Webmaster email box so it can appear here.
If this list shows that you are not a current member and you know differently, please contact
USARM membership. Please realize that if you sent your MotoGP application to Ted's address and your
membership application to the USARM Post Office box that it's very possible that your membership application has not yet reached Ted for processing so you will not be shown as a current member yet. As long as you know that it was sent, don't panic.
